My Daughter’s Wedding 

Ever wonder what it’s like for a floral designer to create floral pieces for their own daughter’s wedding?   I had the honor of designing bouquets and centerpieces for my daughter’s micro wedding in 2021 during the Covid 19 pandemic. Like many others, we had the added stress of having to cancel showers, reschedule their reception, and in the end, modify the whole experience entirely to a small gathering of immediate family, just so they could get on with their married life.  Back then, who knew when we’d be getting back to normal?  It didn’t matter to me that it was a small, intimate gathering; I still wanted her flowers to be perfect and I applied the planning principles and design strategies for her that I do for any couple.  What I learned from that experience is that truly, I feel the same amount of dedication to making each floral piece unforgettable for our clients that I did when planning for my own daughter.   With such an important life step, there’s no room for being unserious or a little less dedicated to our clients than our own loved ones.   Every couple deserves our utmost attention and commitment, as if they’re a cherished family member.  And that’s how we operate.
